Youth Menace (CSJR Edmonton program schedule). Youth Menance is Canada 's only young offender/child welfare show, hosted by and for youth. Youth Menace enables youth to work off their community service hours by becoming involved in researching a topic that has directly affected them. It provides an opportunity for issues like poverty, homelessness, drug abuse, police violence, and other problems to be discussed.
YRAP is a program that allows input into the sentences of young offenders by a panel of youths. The first project of its kind in the world, YRAP was formed in March of 2001 with the support of Alberta 's Youth Criminal Defence Office (YCDO), Edmonton 's ihuman Youth Society, and University of Alberta campus radio station CJSR.
The Gateway newspaper is produced by the University of Alberta and is run by University students. It features news, arts and entertainment, sports, and comics.
Justice4Youth is supported by the Calgary John Howard Society. This is a strictly youth run site whose purpose is to inform youth (ages 12-19) about their rights and topics pertaining to them. In particular, this site seeks to increase young people's awareness of the world and to help them to think critically.
Coalition to Stop the use of Child Soldiers This organization was founded in 1998 and it's mandate is to work to prevent the recruitment and use of children as soldiers, to secure their demobilisation and to ensure their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
The Aboriginal Youth Network is foremost an online resource created by youth for youth. The Network is accountable to youth through their youth advisory committee which meets via teleconference. The committee is consulted on an ongoing basis, informally using mailing lists, message boards and chat rooms. Among the many things on this website, you can find information on education, health, culture and entertainment.
Canada Justice Site FAQs for Youth on Cannabis Law Reform this site is run by the Department of Justice, Federal Government. On this site is link to more information on the Youth Criminal Justice Act and includes FAQs on Cannabis Law Reform.
FAQs for when young people are in custody provides a list of Frequently Asked Questions by young offenders. Users can also browse subjects like extra-judicial sanctions, alternative measures, probation and bail, visiting, release dates, gifts, etc.

Teen Advice Online is a team of non-professionals, ages 13 and up who offer suggestions to problems that callers have on a range of issues. Included on this website is a database of questions and answers from previous callers, dating advice, and articles on a range of teen subjects written by the volunteers.
Health and Wellness for Girls is a health and emotional well-being site for teenage girls. The information found on this website can help girls make informed decisions. All articles, columns, questions and answers are reviewed by prominent and highly credentialed physicians, psychologists, and educators.
Teen Sex Education for the Real World provides a non-judgmental and unbiased attitude of tolerance and understanding for teens, whether they choose to be sexually active or abstain. There is information on positive sexuality, including birth control, safe sex and sexually transmitted diseases, masturbation and self-pleasuring, anatomy, diverse sexual orientation and identification, sexual and romantic relationship and communication tools, and care and compassion in sexual technique and practice.
Answers about Teen Sexual Health and Sexually Transmitted Diseases This site, run by the American Social Health Association, includes information on STD's, sex, puberty, a glossary of terms, expert advice on teen issues, a parent's guide and much more.

This is the world's leading health question and answer service with an archive of over 2,500 straight-forward and in-depth responses to questions sent anonymously to the e-mail box. Check to see if your question is already in the archives before you email it.

Youthsafe  The YouthSafe Resource Committee was formed to address the gaps in violence prevention services offered to youth that identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or transsexual.
